What a fun night we had last week at Water Night!! I hope you didn't miss it.
"Courage - Doing what you need to do even when you are afraid, or when others oppose what you are doing."
Who knows better than a fireman the definition of courage? They risk their lives so many times as they put out fires and rescue people from burning buildings, homes, and cars. We are so thankful for our firemen and policemen who risk their lives every day to keep us safe.
The Bible is FULL of people who also had great courage as they obeyed God. We talked about Noah, David, Esther, John the Baptist, and of course Jesus! If you know their stories, you know that even though they may have been afraid, they did what they knew God wanted them to do.
As you follow Jesus, there may be things that you are afraid of. You can trust Him to give you the courage you need. Psalm 56:3 says, "When I am afraid, I will trust in you." Are you trusting Him today?
Be sure to look at our Facebook page to see all the pictures of Water Night. What was the big surprise? The firemen came to show us the fire truck and provide water for the slip and slides and a HUGE sprinkler! It was a fun evening! See you next week!
