But we're not quitters who lose out. Oh, no!
We'll stay with it and SURVIVE, trusting all the way.

Paul Survives a Shipwreck

Camp Character Survivor opening night was all about OBSTACLES!  Kids had to maneuver through an obstacle course, Paul faced obstacles as he tried to tell others about Jesus, and we talked about the obstacles each of us face each day as we live our lives.

Some people handle their problems (obstacles) by
  • Throwing things overboard - They think if they get rid of bad habits or bad behavior, then God will change their circumstances.
  • Throwing anchor - They just STOP right in the middle of the problem and give up.
  • Run - They try to run away from their problems rather than face them.
  • Panic - They worry that the problem is too big to deal with, and they just don't know what to do.
Paul did what each of us need to do when we face obstacles in our lives:
  • Call on your resources - Paul called out to God (prayed) and God told him exactly what to do so that he and all 276 men on the ship would survive the shipwreck--and they did!  When you face a problem in your life, call out to God in prayer and ask for him to see you through . . . and He will!
Hope to see each of you next week--and bring a friend!
